Linde is currently seeking an Applications Sales Engineer I for technology & gas application sales in Metals, Industrial and manufacturing markets for the West Sales Area (US western states from San Diego to Washington). Job requires frequent travel (over 50%). Candidate will be based out of Linde’s office in Los Angeles (City of Industry) or Bay area (Pleasanton)
What you will enjoy doing:
As one of our Applications Sales Engineers, you will be responsible for selling value added technology based gas applications in collaboration with the Account Managers. This includes: prospect evaluation, technical solution design, value creation and capture determinations, proposal writing and presentation, process change management leadership, and support of the account manager in closing the deal. Your responsibilities will include:
Do you have what it takes?
You must have bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of two years’ experience. Business development/commercial experience and/or aptitude is required. You must have strong problem solving and analytical skills including good conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are a must.
Preferable having worked in a metals heat treatment, furnace and process atmospheres system-related engineering and consulting companies with metals, metals powders, ceramics process background, metals and composites fabrication. Direct work experience working in manufacturing of aerospace industry or related departments of metals-producing companies a plus. Prefer experience demonstrate customer process insights in heat treatment processes, own contribution to projects, business development and demonstration of working in a team environment.
