What you will enjoy doing:

As one of our Analytical Chemists, you will participate in all of the analytical laboratory operations for the Hammond facility. You will assist in developing better analytical methods, maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation (analytical stations), and assisting in integrating any new analytical requirements into the facility. Additionally, the Chemist will analyze products from packages and/or processes and certify individual critical contaminant levels as specified within customer specifications. You will:

  • Operate required analytical instrumentation (GC’s, NDIR’s, process analyzers, standard blenders)
  • Recognize problems with analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot/assist in subsequent repairs
  • Accurately input and document analytical data into all necessary analytical and plant process logs
  • Conform to ISO 9001:2008 directives included but not limited to policy and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the formalized written PPE program for all laboratory activities.


Do you have what it takes?

You must have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of two years’ experience in an analytical lab. Industrial or specialty gas industry preferred. Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Excel is required.  Can perform college level algebraic calculations. Experience in G.C., NDIR, and other common methods of gas analysis is required.
