What you will enjoy doing:

As a Lead Cylinder Filler you will process gas orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment with minimum supervision and must maintain a positive working relationship with customers and employees. You will:

  • Help train and coach/mentor less senior and new employees on job tasks
  • Ensure all maintenance work-orders are completed before deadlines
  • Ability to learn production transactions within SAP
  • Basic understanding of GMP’s and Quality Control concepts and practices
  • Ability to recognize and detect test and defective cylinders and properly separate them from production in identified quarantine areas
  • Receive all goods according to standard written procedures; documenting all incoming shipments, checking shipments and verify contents
  • Inspect valves for correct CGA connection and pressure relief device
  • Connect cylinders to manifold, open valves to draw off residual gas and evacuate cylinders
  • Reviews and documents proper thermometer, gauge and analytical equipment calibrations and ensures all equipment is properly calibrated
  • Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests
  • Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices
  • Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained


Do you have what it takes?

  • A high school diploma or GED (an associate’s degree is preferred)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Good written and customer service skills
  • Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 100 pounds
  • Formal forklift training/experience preferred
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion
  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours
