Responsibilities

What you will enjoy doing:

As one of our Lead Project Managers you will be working in a supervisor position with day-to-day responsibility for mentoring/coaching/monitoring other project managers. You will:

  • Manage all project activities throughout project cycle, typically responsible for managing more complex projects in addition to managing the day-to-day activities of another full time project manager plus contract project managers.
  • Provide business with capital estimates with the appropriate level of accuracy for proposed projects in the upfront stages where GOM order estimates are required to determine go/no go decisions in the project feasibility phase
  • Interface with stakeholders to determine project scope
  • Develop an effective Project Definition & Execution Strategy that enables a high degree of confidence in the project scope schedule and budget
  • Deliver complete project documentation at project conclusion
  • Act as technical resource to plants to develop problem solutions or needed improvements
  • Complete paper and electronic documentation

Qualifications

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience project management, preferably in the industrial gases industry with demonstrated ability to develop a complicated technical scope, schedule and budget and consistently deliver to it
  • Knowledge of engineering rules-of-thumb, scaling factors, equipment lead times.
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations as they pertain to industrial gas projects, i.e. ASME particularly B31.1, NEC, building codes, permitting experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
