  • Overview

    The Stocking Supervisor directs all shipping and receiving activities for the Electronics
    and Specialty Gases division at the Vancouver, Washington to achieve the highest level of
    customer service and operational efficiency at the lowest overall cost, while ensuring full
    compliance to all applicable regulatory and safety requirements.


    Site management - Supervision of all staff. Recruit and train as needed to ensure adequate
    staffing levels. Manage site to budget and control expenditures. Participate in Union
    Contract Negotiations.

    Customer Service - Support needs of internal and external customers, sales and product
    management. At times work directly with customer base. Coordinate delivery of product
    when necessary.

    Management of Cylinder Prep and Inspection of incoming and outgoing products.

    Inventory Management -coordinate with Data Management. Proactively respond to
    increased/decreased customer demands through coordination with inventory management, sales, production plants and product management.

    Maintain all records in SAP accurately

    Safety - Manage Loss Prevention program.

    Responsible for all Compliance to DHS, DOT, EPA and all internal Linde Safety Programs

    Initiate all EMOC’s for new products for Vancouver site


    Required Skills:

    • Complete understanding of domestics shipping of Hazardous Materials 
    • Knowledge of the Electronics & Specialty Gases product line, customer base and supply chains as it impacts product classification/segregation and best transportation practices
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience with compressed / special gases, cylinder stocking, as well as with the transport of hazardous materials.
    • DOT documentation experience (to include shipping / receiving)
      • Customer interface experience

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory and hazardous materials transportation


    Other Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED, some college preferred
    • Experience in the regulatory restrictions and transport practices for hazardous materials.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to independently make critical business decisions, often under pressure and with limited information or off-hours
    • Strong communications skills to support effective operation in a global business matrix
