    Linde is currently seeking a Treasury Analyst I to join the team in the Bridgewater, NJ area.

      

    Purpose of the Position:

     

    As part of credit, the purpose of this position is to assist the Senior Credit Analyst in analyzing and approving new and existing customers credit for North America (50%). This role will also perform Pension Investments back office activities, collateralization back office activities, Financial Markets mid office function and Commodities Trades Back office-confirmations (from Energy group). As part of Back office, this position is responsible for the timely, complete and accurate accounting for the transactions executed by the Treasury department (Treasury operations), liaison with internal/external audit, monthly Lift reporting and financial markets Back office function.

    Responsibilities

    • Review customer history and financial data to approve/not approve or adjust existing credit limits
    • Communicate with sales during the review process
    • Pension Investments Back office (communication/information to Mercer, State Street, TD, audit
    • Collateralization Back office (Letter of credit, bonds, Parental guarantees management and control))
    • Financial Markets mid office activities
    • Commodities Trades Back office-confirmations (from Energy group)
    • Provides support for credit card related issues and serves as primary point of contact for merchant card processor relationships including paymenttech, Amex
    • Review/analyze debit/credit fees - versus contract, identify improvement opportunities
    • Investments (stocks) control
    • Prepare entries related to cash management process, This includes entries related to debt/interest, intercompany borrowings, cash pool, overdraft facilities, revolving credit line and other entries
    • Perform reconciliations of BS accounts affecting the treasury system such as cash, cash equivalents, investments, debt
    • Ensure accuracy of interbank movements and interest accruals
    • Maintain cash, debit and interest schedules
    • Work closely with accounting to ensure new bank accounts are established on the GL and that cash activities are recorded appropriately
    • Update SAP with BAI codes, jourmal mappings, add new bank accounts to SAP and request G/L mappings from accounting department
    • Liaise between internal partners and banking institutions to resolve exceptions and initiate transaction investigations
    • Monthly Lift reporting. Enters LFO (forecast/Budget) into the system
    • Prepare entries related to financial markets activity (e.g. derivatives)
    • Confirm FX Trades
    • Ensure the maintenance of proper documentation of Financial Market activities
    • Reconcile Financial market activities to primarily facilitate third party reporting as well as internal management reporting
    • Financial Markets - DTCC reporting (Back up)
    • EBS project - all accounts
    • Provide timely responses for internal and external audit requests for data and information

    Qualifications

    Basic:

     

    • Bachelor Degree- Finance
    • Minimum 1 Year Treasury
    • Minimum 4 Years Finance
    • Accounting certificate

    Other:

    • Solid knowledge of treasury terminologies, procedures, functions and regulatory obligations 
    • SAP experience
    • Managing online bank portals and managing cash
    • Ability to prioritise workload
