  • Overview

    Under the leadership of HR Services Manager:

     

    • The HR Services Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR Services team
    • The HR Services Specialist will be serve as a liaison to the LESC Contact Center, Employee Data Management and Payroll  teams
    • The HR Services Specialist will be responsible for executing and/or coordinating special projects as identified.

    Responsibilities

    •  Work collaboratively with internal (i.e. Employee Services, Benefits, employees, etc) and external customers (vendors, etc) to support daily operations and performing/supporting audits.
    • Identify opportunities/recommendations to improve and support various HR processes and to execute.
    • Coordinate prepare and support audit requests.
    • Prepare voluntary and involuntary termination letters and coordinate applicable outplacement and support arrangements as needed.
    • Play an integral part in the administration of the unemployment and employment verification process, liaising with Linde’s vendor of choice as appropriate.
    • Responsible for the coordination of COBRA related events with vendor
    • Liaison between Linde and garnishment service provider.
    • Provide Tier 3 support for Contact Center and EDM inquiries for further coordination in strong collaboration with SSC
    • Update IBM with regards to changes in:
      • Processes and administration of policies
      • Projects impacting LESC
    • Serve as first point of contact for all HR departments for escalation to IBM – 1 Level escalation
    • Maintain SAP data records for out of scope employee population (e.g. Dubai)
    • Execute and deliver mandatory reports, including RNA LIFT reporting
    • Coordinate:
      • Special payments (e.g. Patent awards)
      • Audits (e. g. Department of Labor, Homeland Security, etc.)
      • Mandatory reports
      • Escalations by LESC
      • Projects impacting collaboration of LESC and Linde
      • Customer Improvement projects
      • Vendors and related contracts (e.g. COBRA, unemployment, VOE, outplacement vendor)
    • The HR Services Specialist will perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
    • The Payroll Support Specialist will work with Time and Attendance system in loading tables, extracting/formatting payroll files, reconcile benefit time and timeclock support.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree preferred; preferably in human resources or business management
    • Minimum of five years of demonstrated Human Resources and Payroll experience
    • Proficiency with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook as well as the Internet
    • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills
    • Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information.
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience performing data maintenance in an HRIS and payroll application (i.e. SAP [preferred], PeopleSoft, etc)
    • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
    • Strong analytical and independent thinking skills
    • Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization to understand requestor’s needs
    • Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
    • Proven ability to remain flexible in the face of change and changing priorities
    • Proficiency with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook as well as the Internet
