    Develop, implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient incident management and occupational health support for employee injuries.

    • Oversee and manage a cost-effective workers compensation claims program.

    • Function as the interface between third party administrator (TPA), insurance carriers, Linde managers, compensation boards and commissions, state agencies, medical providers, and support employee interactions with the TPA.

    • Identify opportunities for subrogation recovery on auto/GL claims, Workers’ compensation liens, and Special fund reimbursement from State Agencies.

    • Collect and maintain data to be used for HSE metrics and indicator reports.

    • Support Health & Hygiene programs to meet internal customer needs and compliance requirements


    • Manage, and interface with, third party administrator including account manager and adjusters.

    • Monitor TPA’s work product to ensure continued satisfaction in areas of data integrity, subrogation recovery and Error and Omissions.

    • Function as company point of contact for all settlement negotiations and approvals on litigated workers’ compensation cases.

    • Manage reserve account for forecasted workers compensation claims.

    • Work with Worker’s Compensation Provider and local teams to identify preferred occupational health resources.

    • Support the incident management process by being a resource for and working with site managers and field HSE.

    • Monitor medical care and treatment for injured workers as directed by TPA.

    • Monitor restricted duty and lost time cases with objective to return employees to work as soon as is appropriate.

    • Provide data and metrics for analyzing and interpreting claims loss data.

    • Maintain personal injury and other incident data for HSE metrics and reporting.

    • Support health and hygiene programs as needed.


    Required Skills:

    • Excellent communicator both orally and written

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Proven influencing skills

    • Ability to build effective working relationships across the organization

    • Knowledge of US regulatory and industry requirements that impact the Claims Management field

    • Ability to work without supervision, autonomous in decision making involving all aspects of claims and implementation of procedures.

    • Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

    Required education:

    Bachelor Degree in related area

    Required qualifications:

    Minimum 5 Years

    Other qualifications:

    • Nationwide jurisdictional experience with multi-lines of coverage.

    • Claims handling experience in an insurance workers’ compensation claim operation and risk management department, with knowledge of workers’ compensation statutes and medical management of claims

    • Proven ability in interpreting insurance policies and implementing claims handling strategies

    • Some travel may be required
