    Linde is currently seeking a Procurement Analyst to join the team in the Bridgewater, NJ/Butler, PA area.

     

    Purpose:

     

    — Responsible for supporting a Hub Manager, Hub Lead buyer or Regional Category Manager in strategic and execution purchasing initiatives to drive improvements in the Purchase to Pay process.
    — Consult & research, development and maintenance of reports, metrics & KPIs

    — The Procurement Analyst will conduct analyses of functional business process for projects with varying degrees of complexity and participate in the development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects

    — This position works closely with the business units and cross-functional team to achieve strategic sourcing objectives.

    — Act as speaking partner between Procurement and the main business and operational areas

    — Work with the business to identify opportunities to save money or add value, and ensure that Procurement is involved early to provide guidance and generate maximum benefit

    — Promote the values of the company

    — In addition the Procurement Analyst will be a visible leader in all aspects of E-Auction tools (Portum), SAP, and Purchase to Pay.

    Responsibilities

    What you will enjoy doing:

    — Assist and Implement strategic plan to drive value to Procurement based on an understanding of business unit needs, categories, spend baseline and evolution , and benchmarking
    o Assist in the development & implementation of operational improvements

    o Identify A suppliers and develop improvement plans

    o Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and report to various levels of management and team

    — Collaborate with the strategy development for the strategic and execution teams

    o Produce and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports including metrics, savings, workload productivity, and inventory.

    o Collaborate with strategic and execution team to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations

    o Research, select, develop and maintain adequate sources of data to supply and ensure that the requirements of the strategic and execution teams are met with optimum quality, timely manner and accuracy

    — Work with the respective Global, Regional & Hub Procurement teams

    o Define which products and suppliers are the responsibility of the Category Regional Manager

    o Ensure that Global Procurement understands the Region’s business requirements and constraints so that they construct deals that add value to the Region and which can be implemented successfully

    o Liaison between Category Manager and Hub Managers to share opportunities for new and improved contracts.


    — Leads the development of metrics, risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans.

    o Measure and help improve the field have performance with regard to timely and accurate Purchase Requisitions and Good Receipts.

    o Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvements and, assist in the creation of team metrics using analytical data and benchmarking activities.

    o Quantifying and tracking all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required to improve performance



    — Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures and regulations to ensure purchasing activities are conducted within the parameters of each.

    o Ensure code of conduct is observed in all dealings with our suppliers and business partners, fostering relationships and the basis of mutual respect.

    o Ensure staff and suppliers act in accordance with all appropriate safety legislation and guidelines.

    o Work with suppliers and internally to ensure that they comply with the Ethical Purchasing Policy,

     

    Qualifications

    Do you have what it takes?

     

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
    • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases
    • Proven ability for continuous improvement & problem solving experience
    • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
    • Experience in managing Data Warehouses. Business Warehouse a plus
    • Knowledge to implement and integrate different systems into one single tool for usage
    • Proven ability in Project Management to drive end to end projects
    • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis SAP, advanced spreadsheet formulations and macros development (MS Excel), and presenting (MS PowerPoint); knowledge of statistics 

    Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business

    Required Qualifications: 4 plus years of experience in Procurement as data analyst or in related field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Multilingual English & Spanish preferred
    • Programming and coding knowledge in different languages (Python, PHP, Java, Visual.net) preferred
    • Proven ability to manage databases such as SQL server , MySQL, or any other SQL DB
    • Knowledge of HTML coding , webservers , JavaScript and any other web tool a plus
    • Experience in Visual Management Tools – Tableau preferable or other Click, Microstrategy
