    Linde is currently seeking a Lead Equipment Technician to join the team in the Lopatcong, NJ area.


    What you will enjoy doing:


    Under the Supervision of Plant Manager, will process equipment and systems orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. 

    Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with a minimum of supervision and must maintain a positive working relationship with customers and employees.

    Must perform possess the multiple skills and workmanshiplike behaviors for equipment fabrication, assembly, wiring, software uploading, and system testing.

    Must work in a flexible manner across laboratory, electronic & specialty, and bulk gas product lines.

    Lead daily shift briefings, and milestone-based project briefings

    • Assist Plant Manager in scheduling production on a daily/project basis
    • Perform work in Progress (WIP) material counts. 
    • Perform security and safety of production area. 
    • Complete, review and collect all paperwork at end of shift for submittal to supervision
    • Help train and coach/mentor less senior, new & contract employees on job tasks for standard operations and safety compliance.
    • Assist plant manager maintain optimal stock levels 

    Lead on floor to follow all SOP’s for safe operation of plant. 

    • Certified to Weld Process and Procedure Qualifications 
    • Ensure that all work-orders are completed before deadlines
    • Help inventory accuracy best practices for WIP 
    • Help shipping accuracy best practices for Finished Products 
    • Help pull materials and verify part numbers as required.
    • Assemble components according to standard written procedures and production documentation, checking completeness of production orders, and verifying assembly against sales orers in accordance with Linde procedures.
    • Inspect components for correct connection, demensions and performance.
    • Connect, test, and break assemblies from test apparatus. 
    • Review and document proper tests procedures and final acceptance quality records.
    • Have intermediate level computer skills with the ability to learn production transactions within SAP and software uploading for system Process Logic Controllers

    Lead on continuous improvement toward an interdependent safety culture

    • Be able to assist in performing training/practical assessments of less senior, new & contract employees
    • Clearly understands and follows ALL Linde Safety Policies including but not limited to proper PPE, proper lifting techniques, and local site safety requirements.
    • Has understanding of basic Quality Control concepts and practices.
    • Report all maintenance related items to supervision
    • Safely operate energized systems during fabrication, assembly and test.
    • Work to HWP when non standard assembly protocols reqiuire. 
    • Regularly inspect and maintain fabrication tools, and associated measurement and test devices.
    • Ensure quality records are accurately maintained and that all required 
    • procedures are followed in accordance with Linde, local, state and federal regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    Do you have what it takes?



    • High School Degree or GED
    • Minimum 5 Years Equipment fabrication, assembly, and test.



    • Weld Process Certification preferred
    • Completion of ALL core TRACESS Folders, including demonstration of practical proficiency
    • Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and prodction documentation
    • Good Communication Skills
    • Ability to work standing, sitting, bending, grasping, and repetitive motions
