    What you will enjoy doing:

    • Visibly and substantially support the Linde Safety Culture through proactive engagement and by making safety a part of every decision.
      • Integrate safe design concepts in all products and projects
      • Ensure all new products are introduced according to Linde’s Product Stewardship program
    • Engineering Design
      • Develop and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and experience in recent engineering standards and practices.
      • Evaluate commercialization packages for technical feasibility, integration into existing operational assets, financial merits and impact on Project Execution before they are submitted to management for funding approval.
      • Produce detailed design packages of synthesis and purification processes that will be operated safely and efficiently.
      • Ensure all designs comply with federal, state and local building and fire codes.
      • Ensure all designs adhere to CGA guidelines where appropriate.
      • Lead Design Review and Process Hazard Analysis meetings as needed.
      • Provide expert resource to project execution group to ensure installation, commissioning, startup and integration of manufacturing systems.
      • Support continuous improvement within the design group – e.g. development of design standards, engineering tools, etc.
    • Provide technical expertise to larger engineering and manufacturing organization to support improved manufacturing efficiencies, reliability, and product features.
    • Provide technical expertise to larger manufacturing organization in support of customer complaint responses and implementation of best possible corrective and preventive actions.



    Do you have what it takes?


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, Chemical Engineering
    • 10 years of demonstrated success in chemical and or gases process and plant engineering

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • The Process Engineer has demonstrated competence in the design of facilities and processes for manufacture of high value chemical products. Areas of expertise include:
      • Gas chemical manufacturing technology (reactor systems, purification systems, general gas handling systems, waste abatement systems)
      • Systems integration (machine automation, operator/machine interface, data integration and management)
      • Principles and tenants of Lean Manufacturing
      • Chemical manufacturing facilities regulations, design, permitting, and construction.
      • Equipment maintenance and reliability
    • Proven track record of safety leadership
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes
    • Experience in technical interactions with customers
    • Experience working in a Matrix Environment
    • Computer literate including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
    • Functional Skills o Linde Safety Strategy and Philosophy Knowledge and Implementation
      • Process engineering – heat and material balances, pressure balances, process specification for valves and equipment. P&ID development. Relief valve scenarios and calculations.
      • Advanced understanding of chemistry, gas processes, and cryogenic processes.
      • Competence with process simulation software. o Sound understanding of Project Management and Execution
      • Ability to interact with technical peers, customers, and business partners
      • Ability to create concise and logical technical summary documents.
      • Ability to lay out and progress rigorous analysis and problem solving with heavy degrees of ambiguity, complexity, and incompleteness of data o Working knowledge of risk reduction tools such as LOPA, fault tree, FMEA, etc…
