    For more than four decades, Cryostar has specialized in designing and manufacturing cryogenic equipment. The 21st Century has seen Cryostar extend its offering to process plants in the fields of natural gas and clean energy.

    We are looking for a Service Manager in the Houston, TX area to manage all of Cryostar USA Service Department, which includes the US, Canada, and Mexico.

    Responsibilities

    What you will enjoy doing:

    • Parts / Repairs / Site Service revenues and objectives.
    • Implement CSUSA sales strategy for Parts/Repairs/Site Service with input from BC Manager,
    • Operations Director and CSUSA Sales.
    • Directly support USA built products outside of USA.
    • Manages all warranty Parts, Repairs and Site Service work orders.
    • Coordinate field service activity for North America needs.
    • Responsible for all Cryostar USA field service technicians.
    • Selects, trains, promotes and recommends for hire personnel for the Service Department.
    • Coordinate all customer training sessions and training activities with training coordinator in CSF
    • Customer interface and communication relating to service activity (PRS).
    • Customer visits as needed and organized by BC Manager and Sales Department.
    • Interfacing with suppliers relating to service issues (repair and site service).
    • Interface with other Cryostar Business Centers for World Service Needs.
    • Manage Cryostar USA minimum stock quantities per installed base.
    • Work with Business Center Manager to develop and administer budgets, performance reviews
    • and salary/grade for service dept. technicians and service assistants.
    • Supervise and Manage service related administrative functions.
    • Responsible for Service related Aged Receivables.
    • Responsible for the 24 hours emergency contact for Cryostar USA.
    • Reports to CRM and follow up on; complaints, major technical and recurrent issues, major WAR, activities in service.
    • Actively seeks to develop service business: Maintenance agreements, parts sales, Kits and training.
    • Responsible for safety & QA within service department.
    • Follow and implement USA procedures: implement local procedures and maintain as required.

    Qualifications

    Do you have what it takes?

    • 10 years of experience in similar field, for example, with rotating machinery or compressors
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
    • Exposure to PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot control issues
    • Ability to read engineering drawings (including electrical schematics)
    • Electrical Knowledge
    • Good computer skills
    • Experience with industrial equipment and control systems
    • Commercial Experience a plus
