What you will enjoy doing:

As one of our Maintenance Technician II, you will actively lead hazard identification and take measures to eliminate or mitigate hazards on a routine basis. You will maintain and troubleshoot rotating equipment to maximize reliability and process efficiency, while acting in a fiscally responsible manner. You will be responsible for interpreting machinery data, work in collaboration with Site Manager, Platform Support Engineers and Reliability Consultants to maintain or improve machinery reliability. We’ll look to you to develop and implement maintenance best practices, maintenance planning, procedures and critical maintenance activities.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Apply the HWP process, LOTO and energy isolation procedures as required for company and contractor personnel.
• Follow EMOC procedure for all changes to process and operating procedures
• Perform safety indoctrinations for contractors.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to execute, document and continuously improve equipment preventative and corrective maintenance strategy.
• Be competent in a variety of HyCO Inspection tools
• Be competent in use of ultrasonic testing, radiography, dye pen and other testing techniques.
• Develop contingency plans for critical processes and to work around reliability issues that may arise.
• Be the site expert for rotating machinery.
• Lead the safe execution of plant turnarounds.
• Collect and interpret trends in equipment condition monitoring data.
• Set up and safely operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
• Assist in routine Shut-Downs, Start Ups and assist with diagnosis of plant issues
• Be HyCO process experienced and be able to stand shift if required
• Be responsive and contactable in the event of plant trips. Be capable of directing plant re-starts after trips.
• Maintain open continuous line of communication with manager.
• Complete required SHEQ site and equipment inspection forms.
• Participate in safety committee activities as required Complete all training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals.
• Accept On call duty and overtime as required.
• Mark-up engineering drawings to document changes or disparities.

Do you have what it takes?

• An associate’s degree in engineering (instrumentation, electric, mechanic or chemical) is preferred
• A minimum of five years in in a related process plant operations and reliability activity
• Ability to climb to heights 200 ft above grade and work effectively. Excellent ability to interpret electrical drawings including single line
• Capable of operating a forklift, and/or overhead crane, and/or man lift according to company policy
• Be able to operate HyCO plant if required
