    Responsibilities

    • Mentor Application Equipment Designers utilizing acquired technical knowledge, organizational knowledge and experience.
    • Develop equipment designs, CAD models, and detailed drawings for new concepts, modifications of existing designs, and customer-driven customization
    • Perform role of equipment expert for fabricators, customers, Application Sales Engineers, Project Managers and Sales
    • Manages external drafting resources as necessary for any work that cannot be handled internally
    • Develop Linde drawing standards for application equipment in order to ensure that welding specs, tolerances, fabrication techniques, materials, configurations, and dimensions are well-documented.
    • Develop and perform design calculations and develop drawings, specifications and bills of materials supporting the details developed while making a design package for assigned Food projects.
    • Ensure proper safety considerations are always encompassed throughout all aspects and phases of design project.
    • Create, review, and/or modify P&IDs, process flow diagrams, mechanical fabrication drawings, and any other drawings required to support equipment packages for the Food industry.
    • Ensure assigned projects are completed on schedule and within budget through timely delivery of documented designs
    • Assist in the development in training aids and providing training as required
    • Manage development of technical manuals provided to customers for all equipment fabrication projects
    • Manage development, issuance and safe filing of project related technical documents, ensuring that all project documents, whether developed internally or via an external contractor, conform to Linde standards and record “as built” information in a timely and accurate fashion.
    • Validates equipment functional quality and workmanship through functional testing, developing new test protocols as required
    • Lead timely resolution of technical issues identified by fabricators, vendors, Linde engineers, Application Sales Engineers, Project Managers and Sales to include on-site involvement

    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in Engineering/design experience in the area of food process equipment or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience working in an equipment manufacturing, installation or maintenance environment.
